The province of Almería, in the south eastern corner of Southern Spain, is one of the eight provinces of Andalucia. Known for its fabulous climate and year round sunshine the cultural identity of Almería is depicted in the Moorish architecture of its whitewashed Andalucian villages and is characterised by its spectacular village and town fiestas. The province of Almería has 105 minicipalities, has a population of over 700,000 people and spans an area of 8,792 KM2 with a coastline of 300 km. It has an average of 2000km or Ramblas and dry river beds winding their way through the Province.
Almería city is the capital of the province. It was Abd-ar-Rahman III who founded the Alcazaba, which gave this city its name: Al-Mari'yah. It covers an area of nearly 300 km2 and has a population of over 190,000 people.
Almería is the birthplace of P3 Ambiental and its head offices are located in the Town of Tabernas in the heart of the Province.
